This week the Supreme Court will hear two right-to-die cases that have moved through the legal system with remarkable speed for an issue of such import. Last spring, within a month of each other, two federal appellate courts struck down laws in New York and Washington state banning physician-assisted suicide. (At least 40 other states have similar laws.) The appeals courts ruled that a person terminally ill and mentally competent has a constitutional right to receive lethal drugs from a doctor to hasten death....

Art has been regressing toward adolescence for more than a generation now. Theory-laden 1960s minimalism, in which every artist posed as a graduate student in philosophy, gave way in the ’70s and ’80s to an expressionist effusion in which galleries took on the ambience of undergraduate dorm rooms on party night. Now artists are cursing in homeroom again. By the time the siecle hits the fin, they’ll probably be gurgling infants offering up God knows what artistic gifts to their parent civilization....

Cleveland ended its 17-game losing streak on Sunday with a 21-21 tie against the Pittsburgh Steelers. But the Browns missed a chance at their first victory since 2016 when kicker Zane Gonzalez’s 43-yard field-goal attempt with 9 seconds left in OT was blocked by T.J. Watt — who also had four sacks. The Steelers, who blew a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter, also wasted their chance to escape with a win when Chris Boswell was wide left on a 42-yard field-goal attempt with 1:44 remaining in the extra period....

The winger has struggled for regular game time in the 2017-18 season and has been limited to just three Premier League appearances thus far this campaign. His only starts for the Gunners have come in the Europa League, where he’s scored two goals and registered one assist in his four games in that competition. The likes of Everton and Southampton have been linked with January moves for the 28-year-old but Wenger is adamant that he does have a future at Emirates Stadium....

The Chile international looked set for a reunion with Pep Guardiola during the previous transfer window, but the Gunners’ failure to land Thomas Lemar from Monaco reportedly persuaded Wenger to keep hold of his prized asset. Sanchez 13/8 to score v Man City Arsenal run the risk of losing Sanchez for free at the end of 2017-18 with his contract due to expire, prompting many to suggest the club could cash in if City return with another bid in the new year....

One of the better potential pickups this week may be Ian Thomas of the Panthers. The rookie has looked good in the past couple of weeks since taking over for Greg Olsen, and he led the team in targets (11) and had 77 receiving yards last week. If he keeps seeing that kind of volume, he should perform well. The only question is that he has a tough matchup with the Saints in Week 15, though the Saints did allow two TDs to Cameron Brate last week, so they can be beaten....

It’s usually this time of year that first- and second-year WRs start to emerge and create sleeper hype for next season. This week, D.J. Moore (vs. Saints) and John Ross (vs. Raiders) are the most likely to continue their climbs up the big board, but there aren’t many others. Courtland Sutton (vs. Browns) remains intriguing despite last week’s flop, but fellow rookie DaeSean Hamilton and second-year receiver Tim Patrick could just as easily lead the Broncos in targets (and production) again....

In the past four weeks, Jamaal Williams has been the third-best RB in fantasy and Blake Bortles ranks as the eighth-best QB. We’ll stay on those bandwagons for this week. At the same time, we’re not forgetting that the return of Aaron Rodgers also means the return of Jordy Nelson, so we’re staying ahead of the pack and nabbing Nelson at the lowest price he’ll be at for likely the rest of the season....

So apparently the Broncos want to be a power running team all of a sudden. That’s good news for C.J. Anderson. 4. Eddie Lacy, Packers @ Buccaneers 5. *DeMarco Murray, Cowboys vs. Colts. There’s a chance Murray’s surgically repaired hand will force him out of action for a game....

This Sunday we have a huge 16-game slate to close things out, and every option in the NFL is on the board. However, with the season nearing its close and with the majority of teams either eliminated from the playoffs or having locked in their playoff seed, the slate has to be approached with caution. This week it’s extra important to consider playoff and injury implications, as you want to target players from teams who still have the incentive to play their starters the entire ball game....

But we’re living in Aaron Rodgers’ world, and in that world, no one can take his or her eyes off him, whether he’s playing or not, practicing or not, being carted away or not. The practicing part will be under a microscope all week following Rodgers’ knee injury Sunday night against the Bears. Whether he’ll play against the team the Packers have to beat to re-take the NFC North, the Vikings, could be in doubt until game time....

In Week 4, we like the Packers offense to continue humming along after a disappointing loss to the Redskins. Though they’re playing a Bills team that almost shut out the Vikings, Aaron Rodgers is simply too good to be held in check for multiple weeks, so Davante Adams, Randall Cobb, and Geronimo Allison could all be viable plays this week.
