In addition to those backs, Kenyan Drake (@ IND) and Elijah McGuire (vs. NE) loom as major sleepers. The Colts allow the second-most receptions per game to RBs (7.9), though Drake has taken a bit of a backseat in the receiving game lately, seeing only two targets in two of the past three games. McGuire has averaged 5.5 targets and six carries per game in his two outings this year, and this week he faces a Patriots defense allowing a healthy 6.1 receptions and 55.6 receiving yards/game to backs. While guys like James White, Duke Johnson, and Tarik Cohen remain the top “receiving backs” right now, both Drake and McGuire could post similar numbers to them this week. They’re ranked lower because more uncertainty surrounds them, but they can help if you need to fill the void left by Todd Gurley and Kareem Hunt being on bye.

On the flip side, Week 11 breakouts Gus Edwards and Josh Adams are question marks in the receiving game, though Adams surprised with six targets (three catches) against the Saints. If this continues, he has legit PPR value, but considering he only had one target entering this week, we’re not sold on his receiving ability. Still, he’s clearly trending in the right direction.
