This week, a few top streaming options stand out from the others. The Seahawks (vs. Jets) have performed better in recent weeks and will have a chance to shut down an inefficient Jets offense that ranks last in the league in points per game and yards per game. The Packers (@ Lions) are another defense that has played well recently and has generated some big plays against weaker competition. The Lions have had issues without Kenny Golladay (hip) and D’Andre Swift (concussion/illness), so the Packers may be a worthwhile start thanks to the pressure they can get.

Both sides of the Washington-San Francisco game are appealing, as well. The 49ers are getting healthier on defense, and with Richard Sherman back, they should be able to slow down a mediocre Washington offense. Meanwhile, Washington has one of the league’s best pass rushes and should have a chance to pressure Nick Mullens into some mistakes and turnovers.

Further down, the Texans (@ Bears) have a nice matchup against the second-worst offense in the NFL. Mitchell Trubisky or Nick Foles will start for Chicago, but neither have performed well this year and both struggle against pressure. The Texans don’t have a strong defense, but they’re at least worth considering. The same is true for the Cardinals (@ Giants) and Panthers (vs. Broncos), and if you really want to dig deep, both sides of the Cowboys-Bengals game.

A couple of the best year-long defenses may be difficult to trust in Week 14. The Colts (@ Raiders) have fallen off a touch in recent weeks, and it could be difficult for them to contain a Raiders offense that has been, more often than not, efficient. Outside of their game against the Falcons, they haven’t committed many turnovers, so the Colts may have a lower ceiling than usual. The Patriots (@ Rams) are in a similar spot against an inconsistent but generally efficient offense, but after shutting down the Chargers last week, it’s likely many will trust the Pats.

The Dolphins (vs. Chiefs) are certainly a unit to avoid in Week 14. They have generated a lot of turnovers and have a great secondary, but simply put, containing Patrick Mahomes is a borderline impossible task. They could do enough to force a turnover, but their floor against one of the league’s most explosive offenses is low. The Bears (vs. Texans) and Browns (vs. Ravens) have similar matchups and will be tough to trust.
