Those new RB2s will include the likes of Le’Veon Bell, Darrell Henderson, Jeff Wilson Jr., and Leonard Fournette. If you are lucky enough to own any of these players, they will be worth starting, with Fournette looking like a particularly solid play in an elite matchup against the Lions. Beyond those players, there is still tons of receiver depth, per usual, but some players in great matchups will move up a bit ahead of what some may consider the bigger names at the position.

WEEK 16 DFS TOURNAMENT LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel

Speaking of great matchups, they will be the biggest tiebreakers this week for fantasy owners making difficult lineup decisions. For running backs, the Bengals (@ Texans), Buccaneers (@ Lions), Dolphins (@ Raiders), and Bears (@ Jaguars) all stand out as having good matchups. That will provide a boost to the likes of Giovani Bernard, Fournette, Myles Gaskin/Salvon Ahmed, and David Montgomery.

At WR, the best matchups include the Rams (@ Seahawks), Chiefs (vs. Falcons), Eagles (@ Cowboys), and Saints (vs. Vikings). Aside from the usual top options for those teams, more opportunities will be opened up for the likes of Josh Reynolds, Mecole Hardman, Jalen Reagor, Greg Ward, and Emmanuel Sanders to be considered for the flex spot thanks to their excellent matchups.

WEEK 16 STANDARD RANKINGS:Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

There are a couple of ways to approach the flex spot, and it’s all about knowing what your lineup needs more of. If you need a player with a high ceiling, usually a WR is the way to go. There are a lot of big-play options at that spot, so trusting somebody like Darnell Mooney (@ Jaguars) could pan out. If you need a player with a higher ceiling, a running back like Frank Gore (vs. Browns), who is going to get a high volume of touches, is the right option to trust.

As always, once you’ve decided on your final lineup, make sure your latest-starting player is plugged into the flex spot. That gives you some flexibility in case a last-minute injury or COVID issue causes that player to be ruled out.
