For the most part, Travis Kelce and Zach Ertz are the only high-volume, top-tier options for Week 17. Behind them, every option is matchup-based or TD-dependent. That’s just the nature of the position, but still, there’s usually a consistent top five to rely on. That’s no longer the case due to injuries and ineffective play of certain top players at the position.
Week 17 Rankings: Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Defense | Kicker
If you’re looking for an option at TE in this final week of the season, Vance McDonald (vs. Bengals), Evan Engram (vs. Cowboys), and Cameron Brate (vs. Falcons) are a few of the better options. They haven’t been consistent this year, but all could post scores or big plays in solid matchups. Conversely, David Njoku (@ Ravens) has a very difficult matchup against the Ravens, so trusting him is difficult this week.
It doesn’t seem like a lot of meaningful TEs will be shut down – Travis Kelce owners may have been saved by the team’s loss to the Seahawks last week – but we’ll keep an eye on them in the coming days, just in case. No matter what, this position will be one of the thinnest and toughest to navigate in Week 17.
