In most cases, the kickers near the top of the rankings are going to be on good offenses and have really good leg strength. Matchups don’t tend to matter as much as other positions, but if they’re going against a weaker defense that allows teams to move the ball more easily, it certainly doesn’t hurt. Still, coach’s decisions regarding fourth-down situations and long field goals aren’t always consistent, so even if you think you really know how a kicker will do, it can be hard to figure out.
We have out best guesses at the position, but don’t be afraid to go with a guy you believe in. They’re all very risky plays, but just one boom week from a kicker can do a lot to lift your fantasy team to victory.
