As always, matchups are playing a role in the potential-packed WR rankings. There are a few “matchup-proof” offenses in the Chiefs, Rams, and Vikings, who have all performed well to start the season. Elsewhere, the Falcons get a favorable matchup with the Buccaneers, giving a boost to Calvin Ridley and Mohamed Sanu, while the Bengals play the woeful Steelers defense – which is good news for the outlook of Tyler Boyd. These players can all be started with confidence, and they are just a few of the potential breakout candidates for this week.

Of course, injuries are clouding the rankings a bit, as they are prone to do. Both Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp suffered concussions last week, so the Rams top options may thin out if either can’t play this week. The Packers also have a couple of guys dealing with injuries in Randall Cobb (hamstring) and Geronimo Allison (concussion). If either of them can return this week, it would give these already strong receiver rankings another boost. Right now, all four of those players are in the rankings – along with T.Y. Hilton and Marquise Goodwin, both of whom missed last week’s game – but that can obviously change as we get closer to Sunday.
