You can’t drop Lutz, though, because someone else will pick him right up. He’s the better kicker in the long term, and that’s sometimes how you have to make these decisions. When you have a solid kicker like Lutz, just stick with him. Streaming kickers isn’t worthwhile because there’s too much randomness involved in their outcomes.

Those of you who rushed out to pick up Mike Nugent as the new Patriots’ kicker might’ve been disappointed after a poor Week 5. He’s still not a bad option, though – just note that New England signed Younghoe Koo to the practice squad and he could be a viable kicker, too, if he’s given the job for the Pats.
