On the bright side, the PPR format does create some other quality options because catches are worth more. Notably, receiving backs like Cannon, Duke Johnson, and Jalen Richard all get bumps up in the rankings. That creates a little extra value and depth at the position, which is something that is a bit scarcer in standard formats.

We do have some guys in these rankings that are banged up, and they will bear watching ahead of their games. Notably, Matt Breida will be a name to watch, as he is on a short week and has been dealing with an ankle injury since the 49ers’ first matchup with Arizona. Other injuries are sure to pop up throughout the week, so we’ll do everything we can to keep an eye on those. Thankfully, there’s no 9:30 a.m. ET game this week, so there won’t be any surprise inactives before the big slate of Sunday games really starts.
Reminder: Check for updates through the week. And for analysis of key players, check out our standard RB rankings for Week 9. For even more fantasy insight, check out “How You’ll Lose in Week 9”.
