Disney’s trailer for the Star Wars: Twilight of the Republic play sets for Disney Infinity 3.0 gives gamers a taste for the many adventures in a galaxy far, far away. Using the Twilight of the Republic play sets, players will tag along with Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano to discover “secret plots, defeat villains and bring peace back to the galaxy.”

There are three variations to the Star Wars play sets coming to Disney Infinity. Along with Twilight of the Republic, there’s also Rise Against the Empire, which features Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader; and The Force Awakens, the details of which will be announced later.

Team Fortress 2 Adds Football Game Mode

Valve has teamed up with Bad Robot to create a new game mode for the free-to-play shooter, Team Fortress 2. In the new mode, which is currently in beta, players fight over a ball, which they use to score goals on opponents. The ball replaces a player’s primary weapon when carried, and can be passed or shot into the goal by using the primary fire key.

With the primary weapon taken away, ball carriers will need to move quickly to the enemy goal, or risk dying. Fortunately, when a player controls the ball, they are granted health, speed, vision, and invulnerability boosts. Check out the above gameplay for more details.

Evolution Studios: Expect ‘Big Surprises’ for Driveclub This Year

After a struggling start, it seems Sony and developer Evolution Studios are committed to promoting their PlayStation 4 racer, Driveclub. Part of that promotion is to support the game with monthly new additions to keep things fresh for players.

According to a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, the folks at Evolution Studios have some big things in store, including a few surprises:

No word yet on what those surprises entail, but Evolution Studios is undoubtedly hoping they’re unique enough to keep players engaged and encourage new gamers to pick up the game.

Metal Gear Solid Explained in 12 Minutes… Sort Of

There’s no arguing with the fact that the Metal Gear Solid series storyline is complicated and confusing. Even those gamers who have played the games since the franchise began often have trouble interpreting the timeline of events and characters to Metal Gear Solid novices.

As the above video shows, the crew at Game Trailers decided to try their hand at providing a quick synopsis of the game series, and are somewhat successful. After viewing the attempt, it’s easy to see why many gamers feel the Tarantino-esque Metal Gear Solid storyline is so difficult to comprehend. Fortunately, that hasn’t stopped the newest game in the series, Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain, from garnering extremely positive reviews from critics.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain is set to release on September 1, 2015 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Mad Max Gets Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Trailer

In preparation for its September 1st release, Mad Max is showing off a unique trailer that lets viewers choose how they take on various challenges. Naturally, the purpose for such a trailer is to let gamers see how versatile the game can be, and the various playstyles available.

Fortunately, almost any choice players make ends with some sort of explosion, which is most fitting for a game pattered after the Mad Max series. It’ll be interesting to see how well the game performs against the powerhouse Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain, which is releasing the same day.

Mad Max hits PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 1, 2015.

During that time, the media giant published a number of mobile games, but has not yet released any major titles for PC or consoles. And despite the studio’s job listing earlier this year concerning an “ambitious” PC game, it seems at least three high-level employees are less-than confident in the project’s future.

It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out over the next few weeks and months, and if any more employees leave the studio for other opportunities.
